BEST PLACES TO VISIT

THE ASINARA NATIONAL PARK

Asinara is a small island located along the northwestern coast of Sardinia. It started out as a fishermen's village, when the Island of Asinara was made a penal colony. Now it is a beautiful national park when you can discover many different wild animales (included horses and the White Asinara donkey) and some very rich and unique flora.

STINTINO

calm and peaceful village, very popular thanks to its beautiful white beaches. The most important is the Pelosa beach, located in front of the island of Asinara.

ALGHERO AND SURRONDINGS

Charming and unique, Alghero is the perfect place to visit both during days and nights. Alghero is an open air museum with its archaeological sites and the buildings which date back to the Catalan-Aragonese conquests in the sixteenth century. Near Alghero there are some unique attractions, like Neptune’s Grotto, Capo Caccia & the Marine Park, the pre-Nuragic Necropolis of Anghelu Ruju and the Nuraghe Palmavera, one of the most beautiful archaeological sites in Sardinia.

CASTELSARDO

A beautiful and colorful medieval village overlooking the sea. The Castel, built in the highest point, offers an unforgettable view over the sea and the coastline of both North Sardinia and Corsica. In the Castel you can visit the Museum of Weaving Art and after that visit the streets looking for artisans sitting outside of their ateliers while handcrafting traditional rafia baskets. Near Castelsardo you can visit the "Roccia dell'elefante", a trachyte monolith that has been eroded and elephant-shaped by winds.
